FIXED ON REALITY - HISTORY SHAPED IN THE PRESENTConcurrently with the festival period, there will be held two half-day seminars. For the seminar we have invited photographers and practicioners from other academic fields to comment on the general photo book and on specific photo books presented. In the seminar we will focus on the book's particular concerns, not just the physicality and the formal qualities specific to photo books, but also draw attention to the thematic addressed and the narratives of this particular form of storytelling. With this in mind, we will look at the photo book as a historical document and transmitter of knowledge.
SUNDAY September 22th, 17:00-19:00Kulturhuset, Oslo
